Point of Sale Integrations

POS  Minimum Requirements

Total Loyalty’s Mobile Apps and Email Marketing tools are compatible with the following POS platforms.  

Aloha

Requires Aloha version 6.7 series (ie 6.7.3) or Aloha 12.3 and Aloha Connect License with interface terminal license for each FOH terminal (one time license that must be provided by Aloha point of sale provider)  

    • (Note) Interface terminal licenses for experienced resellers goes without saying, but those that never worked with Aloha Connect often miss this.   Interface terminal licenses are free with Aloha Connect.

Printer

  • Thermal Printer with QR printing capability (i.e.: Epson T88-IV, T88-V)
  • If the location is on Aloha version 6.7, an Epson T88-III will work. Once Aloha is updated to the Aloha 12.3 (the next available update), the T88-III will no longer function properly, and the T88-IV or T88-V will be needed.

Back of the House Computer Requirements  

  • Windows Vista or later Operating System
  • .NET 4.5.2 Framework installed
  • 2GB or higher RAM
    • RAM requirements may vary depending on the number and needs of other plugins or software installed.
  • 1GHZ or higher Processor
    • Processor requirements may vary depending on the number and needs of other plugins or software installed.
  • Windows Installer 4.5 or later
  • At least 2GB of free HD space

Terminal (FOH) Requirements

  • Windows Vista or later Operating System
    • Windows XP is no longer supported with updates from the manufacturer and is no longer PCI Compliant.
  • .NET 3.5 Framework installed
  • 1.5GB or higher RAM
    • RAM requirements may vary depending on the number and needs of other plugins or software installed.
    • Less RAM can possibly work, but less than this may cause performance issues or may cause the system to be unresponsive
  • 1GHz or higher processor
    • Processor requirements may vary depending on the number and needs of other plugins or software installed.
  • At least 500MB free HD Space
    • This requirement is after any supporting frameworks are installed. For example 500MB free HD space is required after .NET 3.5 is installed.
    • Less HD Space can possibly work, but less than this may cause performance issues or may cause the system to be unresponsive

  • General Requirements

  • Durable High Speed Internet (at least 1mbps for both downstream and upstream bandwidth)
  • Customer has the ability to white list required URLs through firewall at location.   Required white list URLs will be provided prior to installation.
  • Customer has the ability to white list the integration binaries through any anti-virus or software manager.   Required white list binary files will be provided prior to installation.
  • Reseller available during and after installation to ensure proper configuration of the point of sale system to allow integration to function properly.

Oracle / Micros 3700
  MICROS version 5.2 or 5.4 (newer versions are tested upon release of software by Oracle) and a SIM License (one time license that must be provided by MICROS point of sale provider)  

Printer

Terminal + Back of the House Computer Requirements  

  • Terminals-MICROS Workstation 5 + 5A terminals or newer
    • (Note) We do not currently support Workstation 6 terminals, we will be adding support for WS6 in the next few months.
  • Windows Vista or later Operating System
  • .NET 4.5.2 Framework installed
  • 4GB or higher RAM
  • 1.5 GHZ or higher Processor
  • Windows Installer 4.5 or later
  • At least 2GB of free HD space
  •   A list of all current SIM integrations running on the point of sale
    • (Note) This one is new, but may help to find potential conflicts.   We don’t often run into other SIM but there have been a few cases where someone else’s SIM was not well contained / isolated and caused issues with the integration.

POSItouch

Terminal Requirements for POSDriver Installation:

  • Windows Vista or later Operating System
  • .NET 4.5.2 Framework installed
  • 4GB or higher RAM *
  • 1.5GHZ or higher Processor
  • At least 2GB of free HD space **

* This minimum assumes nothing else other than POSi is running on the terminal. If any other software is installed and running then more RAM might be necessary.  ** Anything less than this amount of free disk space will necessitate that offline mode be disabled….whichwould likely result in lost transactions and, consequently, a degraded application experience where QR codes for these lost transactions will fail.

POSi Software Requirements

  • SPCWIN version 6.4 dated 10/20/15 or later.
  • Positerm dated 09/22/15 or later
  • Gift Card Module
