This growth is consistent with reports from Global Food Forums and TechCrunch who predicted that smart devices would be an integral part of the dining experience in 2016, pointing out that mobile ordering represents a $210 billion opportunity. Additionally, the NPD Group, a market research company, predicts that off-site food service will continue to outpace overall restaurant industry traffic growth over the next decade.
